Hardware Requirements

As processor technology and design change increases the speed of the processor, there is no longer a definitive characteristic for a recommended or high performance specification. With the recent advances in multi-core processor technology, a higher speed, older machine may have less processing capabilities than a slower current generation machine. These requirements and recommendations are for running the workstation only. Running additional applications may require additional memory or higher CPU speed.

Minimum Requirements

• Intel 1.4 GHz Pentium 4 processor (or equivalent) or higher
• 512 MB RAM
• Video card capable of 1024 x 768 resolution with 16 bit colors and 64 MB of dedicated memory
• 600 MB Free Hard Disk Space
• Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2, or Microsoft Windows Vista
  • Note: It is recommended that you install the latest Microsoft Service Packs and Security Updates.
• Microsoft Office XP, 2003, or 2007
• Microsoft Excel XP, 2003, or 2007 (for BDDE)
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or higher
• Adobe Reader 7.0 or higher (for viewing PDF files)
• High-speed internet connection

Recommended Requirements

• 1 GB RAM or higher for machines running Windows XP; 2 GB RAM or higher for machines running Windows Vista
• Video Card with 64MB of dedicated video memory with 1024 x 768 resolution and16 bit colors (See Note on video card above)
• 1 GB Free Hard Disk Space
